Guardswell Farm Wedding Photography – Jane & Mark

Jane and Mark came from Canada with their two young boys, to marry at the incredible Guardswell Farm, because it was just down the road from where Jane grew up and her parents still have the family home there.  It was a super fun child friendly wedding, with guests travelling from all over the World to attend!  Jane’s sister Emma did a fantastic job of organising the day.

Jane got ready at her parents’ house, with her bridesmaids, sister Emma & friend Hilary, there was such a relaxed vibe.  So relaxed Jane in fact sent me up to the boys who were getting ready at Guardswell Farmhouse – where it wasn’t quite so relaxed, as the younger boys were being bribed with anything and everything to get into their kilts!

The ceremony took place in the beautiful long room to the side of the main barn area. The ceremony began with several beautiful readings from friends and family and finished with them walking down the aisle behind a young guest who decided he was making a sharp exit!

Jane and Mark chose to have their wedding at Guardswell Farm because the light is gorgeous throughout the venue, and it’s near Jane’s family home. Guardswell Farm is a relatively new venue, and it’s got such a modern, clean but still rustic feel to it, very cleverly renovated to combine the original features of the barn.

For the reception, the couple had planned lawn games for their guests, and everyone really enjoyed it – especially the children. Everyone was then called in for the really touching speeches and they enjoyed tucking into the delicious wedding breakfast afterwards, restocking the energy levels for the dancefloor later!

After dinner, they had their romantic first dance to Ed Sheeran’s Tenerife Sea, and the dancefloor was a very popular place to be. The live band played all the best songs to get everyone dancing.

I loved this relaxed family wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a Guardswell wedding photographer, get in touch.
