Farm Marquee Wedding

James and Kim got married on a beautiful sunny day in May. It was such a relaxed happy day filled with such laughter and fun and Kim wore the most beautiful elegant dress. Kim has been a guest at several weddings I have photographed so from the moment she booked me to be her photographer I just couldn’t wait to see what her dress was like, she is always so stylish!

Kim and her bridesmaids got ready at her family home just outside Cupar, before Kim and her Dad travelled in an old vintage Land Rover to the ceremony. The Land Rover has been renovated especially for the wedding in a matter of weeks by a family friend and it was touch and go whether it would be ready in time.

The ceremony took place in Dairsie Church, it is such a beautiful quaint little church. My favourite part of the ceremony was when James’ cousin and sister deliver the most hilarious reading, poor James took quite a bashing! Kim and James then walked up the aisle as Husband and Wife before racing through a bunch of confetti wielding guests before jumping in the Land Rover… unfortunately when driving away from the church James may have hit reverse instead of 2nd gear! If you can’t find it, grind it!

The drinks reception was held in the beautiful garden at Kim’s parents farm, the whole place looked amazing and it was obvious to see how much work everyone had put into transforming this family farm into an incredible wedding venue. James’ sister runs Rustic Wedding Decor and many of the beautiful props had been sourced by her.

Kim’s brother, Stuart, piped the new Mr & Mrs Lawrie in to be seated for the speeches, and what brilliant speeches they were (even if they left some people hiding behind their hands!) and James’ two Best Men very kindly gave him some gifts which they felt may be helpful for married life…!

I loved this relaxed farm wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer, get in touch.
